03/10/20: Fast Food/Work and Economy

Fast food work has brought along a lot of jobs for many people especially younger people. When we look back at the agriculture time period we see that obviously fast food places were unnecessary but now we live in such fast paced society that many people turn and lean on these places. We need coffee in the morning instead of making it at home just stop at starbucks on your way to work. We had no time to make dinner lets just stop and then we pick up a pizza for dinner and call it a night. These jobs are good beginning jobs because it does help many people able to get onto their feet but in the long run the labor work is hard to balance with being able to have a living wage as well. Society has created such a good base for these companies because we lean on them all the time and give them the business they need to prosper. But now we see how technology has swept into the fast food jobs again when you go in some fats food chains a person doesn’t even take your order but rather you go infant of a big screen and pick what you want then pay there and don’t even have to communicate with a person at all and we see where alienation can be part of this .
