02/06/20: Invitation to Sociology

When we look into sociology we need to put on the pair of glasses because we have to look at the issues and facts that we will be presented with with a different open mind. Sociologist want to see the bigger picture so therefore they will have to go past beast and pre assumptions in order to try and see the whole story and put the pieces together to get answer to social problems. ” Worlds have previously became quite unknown” I could see where sociologist would find excitement in being able to find out more facts about a culture or certain group in society because they are able to find out more facts and see the way the function how it effects other situation in society. We need to realize that is not everything is as we see it and this is where some things can be totally recognizable but there is many latent ideas that lie underneath and that is where it gets interesting. For example we look at school and we say its for knowledge but the later more hidden part that not many look at is that school was made because it provides basically government supervised day care and majority of society doesn’t look at school in that same way.Im excited to learn more about how society will function and how I can observe human interaction in more of an understanding way rather than just assuming I want to be able to understand different cultures and have more of an open mind to different culture. I function that I look on the outside of my norms but I judge but I want to try and cut that down so when I put the glasses on this semester I hope I will keep them on even after this class comes to an end.
